- Competition Period
The competition opens on 25 April 2025 and closes at 23:59 on 2 May 2025. Entries received after the closing date will not be considered. - Eligibility
To be eligible to win, participants must:
- Follow both Race to the Sun and King Price on Instagram.
- Comment on the competition post, explaining why they deserve the Royal Treatment.
- Tag a cycling buddy they’d love to share the experience with.
- Have entered (or enter) Race to the Sun 2025 by 2 May 2025.
- Prize Details
One grand prize winner will receive:
- A 2-night stay at Sun City during Race to the Sun weekend.
- Hotel-to-start-line transport in a Ford Raptor.
- A full valet bike wash at the finish line.
- A brand new 2025 event jersey.
- A VIP-style finish line experience.
Total prize value: R11,000.
Note: Race entry is not included in the prize.
- Winner Selection & Notification
- The winner will be selected based on the creativity, relevance, and engagement of their entry.
- The winner will be notified via Instagram DM on 5 May 2025.
- If the promoter is unable to contact the selected winner within 48 hours, a new winner may be selected.
- Prize Conditions
- The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and not redeemable for cash.
- The prize cannot be carried over to future Race to the Sun events.
- The prize excludes transport to/from the event, accommodation for additional nights, or any other costs not explicitly listed.
- Winners must provide the required personal details (full name, ID, contact number, email, delivery address) for prize redemption.
- If the winner fails to provide accurate information, their entry will be disqualified.
- General Conditions
- Participants agree that Race to the Sun and King Price may republish, repost or reuse submitted content on their digital platforms for promotional purposes.
- Participants agree to have their name, photo, and/or entry shared publicly on social media should they win.
- The promoter reserves the right to verify the identity of any participant and may request supporting documents.
- Data Protection
- By entering, participants consent to the collection, processing and storage of their personal information for the purposes of administering this competition.
- All personal data will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the promoter’s privacy policy.
- The promoter will take reasonable steps to protect participants’ personal information.
- Liability
- Race to the Sun, King Price, and associated parties shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, or injury, including indirect or consequential losses, incurred during participation in the competition or redemption of the prize.
- Participants enter at their own risk and indemnify the promoter from any claims arising from their participation.
- Exclusions The following individuals may not participate:
- Employees, directors, agents or consultants of Race to the Sun, King Price, or any affiliated companies.
- Suppliers of goods and services in connection with the competition.
- Immediate family members (spouse, parent, sibling, child) of the above individuals.
- Final Decision
- The promoter’s decision regarding any aspect of the competition, including the selection of the winner, is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Any deviation or indulgence in the T&Cs does not constitute a waiver of the promoter’s rights.
