Rider Safety

EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! Route marshals and traffic authorities have been placed at critical road crossings. As a rider, it stays your own responsibility to look and see if it is SAFE to cross or overtake on the roads. Stay on the LEFT SIDE of the gravel/dirt roads on the shoulder off the road to avoid any contact with a vehicle.

Bag Drop & Drop-off Zone

Each rider will receive a bag tag in their goody bag. Please ensure you keep your armband secure, as this will be your token to retrieve your bag from the Bag Drop Zone.

There will be a dedicated drop-off zone for those families who will go straight to Sun City from the start. No need to park, simply drop off and leave.

Substitutions will strictly close on Tuesday, 21 May 2019. Substitutions allowed at registration on Friday. Please note no late entries accepted.

Race to the Sun will have a neutral start with both male and females starting in the same batches. Due to the large field, the no-drafting rule won’t be enforced. Drafting would thus be permitted across all categories and genders.
